Course in the Management of Asthma Risks and Emergencies in the Workplace is an accredited short course designed to develop an awareness of asthma. It will provide the knowledge and skills needed to administer the reliever medication in an asthma attack and develop a working knowledge of the management of asthma in the workplace.

Course Delivery: 2.5 hours  or 1.5 hour blended delivery

Revive2Survive offer two course formats:

Face to face: All practical and theory assessments will be delivered in class. (2.5 hours class time)

Blended delivery : All practical / observational based assessments  and some theory are completed in class time. Pre-course reading and completion of the multiple choice theory assessment prior to attending the practical session is required. (1.5 hour class time). Please allow 1 hour of home based learning to complete reading and assessments. Please read course material and complete the multiple choice theory assessment prior to training day.

22282VIC Theory Assessment

It is a requirement in all blended delivery courses that the theory assessment must be completed prior to training day. Please follow the instructions below to complete pre-course requirements.

 Locate the pre-course assessment on our website as follows:

  • Click the Assessments menu option, then select 22282VIC Asthma.
  • Complete all fields of the assessment and click “Submit”.
  • Once a pass mark is achieved you will receive an Assessment Completion email. Print the email, sign the declaration and bring this with you to the course to verify that you have successfully completed the theory assessment.

If after 3 attempts you have not achieved a 100% pass mark, print the assessment (press Ctrl P) and bring the assessment with you to the course. The trainer will discuss any incorrect answers in class.

The pass rate for all first aid theory assessments is 100%. Participants are required to demonstrate a clear understanding of all topics covered in the course.

Reassessment of practical competencies:

Should assessments not be successfully completed on training day, participants will be given 14 days from the date of training to successfully submit their assessment to Revive2Survive. If the assessment cannot be submitted within the time frame, participants will need to attend a follow up session to be reassessed in practical competencies. Prices are listed in the Revive2Survive Schedule of Fees.

On successful completion of this course participants will be awarded a Statement of Attainment in 22282VIC Course in the Management of Asthma Risks and Emergencies in the Workplace.
