Revive 2 Survive has been delivering nationally recognised first aid training in Melbourne and Victoria since 2005.
This unit explains the skills and knowledge you need to provide first aid to infants and children, following guidelines from the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) and other leading Australian clinical bodies.
It’s designed for people working in education and care settings who may need to respond to first aid emergencies, including asthma and anaphylaxis. This includes early childhood educators as well as those working with school-age children in outside school hours care and vacation programs.
This unit of competency meets the ACECQA accreditation requirements in First Aid, Anaphylaxis and Asthma.
3.5 hours in class practical session plus approx. 5 hours pre-course paperwork – and an online assessment. It is a requirement that all pre-course paperwork must be completed prior to the practical session and brought to the class.

All participants are required to demonstrate Adult/Child CPR on the floor, not on an elevated surface. Any participant unable to demonstrate CPR on the floor may attend the training but will be issued a non-accredited Statement of Attendance.

All students are required to complete a short online Language, Literacy & Numeracy (LLN) assessment, before commencing any training. This will be conducted when completing the enrolment form.
This is following Standard 2.2a of the Australian Government – Department of Employment and Workplace Relations Standards for Registered Training Organisations. The test helps to identify a student’s learning needs before they start training.
It is a mandatory assessment requirement in all CPR / first aid courses that participants demonstrate CPR on the floor, not on an elevated surface. To be assessed as competent in this course you must be physically capable of performing CPR on the floor. If you have an injury that limits your ability to adequately demonstrate CPR, you may attend the course and be issued a non-accredited Statement of Attendance.
