Due to COVID-19 all courses will be delivered in a Blended Delivery Format. All pre-work must be completed prior to coming to the course. We will be having reduced class sizes as well as reduce face to face time. We will be adhering to social distancing and hygiene measures however please feel free to call our office to discuss further precautions and changes to our delivery.

Course Code: HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
Course Length: 1 hour face to face practical assessment. All online theory work training plus enrolment to be completed prior to and bought to class.
Course Audience: This unit applies to all those who may be required to provide CPR, in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.
Delivery: Blended delivery / Accelerated
Demonstration of CPR compressions: It is a mandatory assessment requirement in all CPR / first aid courses that participants demonstrate CPR on the floor, not on an elevated surface. To be assessed as competent in this course you must be physically capable of performing CPR on the floor. If you have an injury that limits your ability to adequately demonstrate CPR, you may attend the course and be issued a non-accredited Statement of Attendance.
Pre-Course Theory Assessment
This training is delivered in blended delivery format. Participants are required to complete the assessment prior to training as home based learning, independently of the classroom session. The links provided at each question form the course reading and answers to the questions can be found within the links. It is important to read each link to verify understanding of the topic. A link to the assessment will be provided on booking.
A Course Pack will also be emailed to you in the days after booking, please print and complete. It is a requirement that all pre-work must be completed prior attending the Practical session
Performance and Knowledge Evidence:
There must be evidence that the participant has completed the following tasks in line with state/territory regulations, first aid codes of practice, Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines and workplace procedures:
- performed at least 2 minutes of uninterrupted single rescuer cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) (5 cycles of both compressions and ventilations on an adult resuscitation manikin placed on the floor. READ MORE
SOA (Statement of Attainment)
On successful completion of this course, participants will be emailed a Statement of Attainment in HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation.
